2019 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid

We all knew it was coming. So here it is.

The Hybrid version of the cute Crosstrek uses a Toyota System from the Prius Prime.

Which means only 17 miles of EV range. 

It still uses the Subaru 2.0 Liter engine. And the whole thing is now a second faster 0 to 60 than the regular Crosstrek.

This new Hybrid version is priced at $34 995 plus $975 destination.

A $2500 option package includes a sunroof, Harman Kardon stereo, 8-inch screen, and a heated steering wheel. 

The regular Crosstrek starts at around $22 000. But after incentives (At least here in California), the more powerful Hybrid model could end up being about $3000 more only.

17 miles EV isn't much at all. But you could end up actually saving money in the long term.

I have to say, I do like the Crosstrek, but was expecting a bit more from the Hybrid version.

More EV range. But less of a price bump...
