2022 Ford Escape PHEV: new interior...

This is another example of Ford models looking more upscale in China than in the US.

The Escape.

It launched in China with a different front end and interior than the one we get over here.

While I'm not sure I like the Chinese front end better, I think the interior is quite an improvement over what we get over here.

The Chinese model pictured here is a new PHEV version. Powered by the 1.5 Liter engine. It is rumored to be getting up to 78 miles of EV range on the optimistic Chinese test cycle.

Which could still mean around 50 miles over here. And that would be great...

Since the PHEV model here is rated at 37 miles.

 I wonder if this (and the interior?) could be upcoming improvements to the US models.
